

There are 3 rounds to the Toronto Dymes Calendar Model Search
Preliminary: Round 1 – TBA 2012
All entries received by the deadline Thursday June 28, 2012 will be judged on TBA at a private (no audience) engagement in Toronto. Location to be revealed to confirmed entries only. Contestants will be required to model two changes; casual/ club/ fashion wear and swimwear.
(Note: This section may change depending on city and web voting may determine preliminary round)
Casual/ Club/ Fashion Wear Round – 50% of score
This will be your first opportunity to impress the judges. You will be asked to walk from one side of the stage to the other performing quarter turns at specific points outlined on stage. The apparel you selected should best represent your character, personality and compliment your body well. Work your magic! (But before you go on stage - relax, enjoy your presentation and remember to smile.) Contestants must provide a brief description of their casual/ club/ fashion outfit. This is an opportunity for contestants to get creative with their outfit and also mention the clothing sponsor or designer, if any. No offensive costumes will be allowed (e.g. transparent clothing, etc.)
Judging criteria:
- Poise and Presence – 33%
- Apparel Selection – 33%
- Appearance – 33%
Swimwear Round – 50% of score
Judges will analyze body shape, tone, complexion, poise, presentation and overall look. An elegant well toned body, healthy skin, and a winning smile is generally sought after. Facial beauty will be judged during this round as well. Contestants must wear a two-piece bikini swimsuit with a pair of high heel shoes.
Judging criteria:
- Body Proportion (weight to height and body shape) – 33%
- Facial Beauty – 33%
- Suitability for advertising and publicity – 33% 50 contestants will be selected by the panel of judges to move on to the semi-finals. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined based on the highest score for Beauty. In the event of a further tie, winner will be determined based on highest score for Suitability for Advertising and Publicity.

Semi-Finals: Round 2 – TBA 2012
All Contestants who were selected during the month of March, 2012 is to move on to the Semi-Final round that will be judged on TBA, 2012 in front of a live audience in Toronto at a location later announced. Contestants will be required to model three changes: fitness wear and routine, casual/ club/ fashion wear and swimwear. Contestants will also be scored in a 4th category: internet voting.
Fitness Wear and Routine Round – 30% of score
The fitness wear and routine round will be pre-judged at a closed session (no audience) prior to Saturday August, 2012. The top 10 routines will be performed live at the semi-finals.
Note: This section may be omitted for the following cities, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton. It will be replaced with a creative scene.
Judges will look for high-energy routines that demonstrate athletic coordination, styles, personality and overall performance. Routines may include dance, gymnastics, cheer, aerobics, fitness and/or other displays of athletic talent. Contestants should demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and showmanship. However, there are no specific athletic or strength moves required. Only the athletic skills in which a contestant has experience should be incorporated. Costumes will be judged as well during the fitness round, so special attention should be given. No G-string or thong-type costumes may be worn in this round unless athletic apparel or tights are worn underneath. Athletic shoes must be worn. Props are allowed but must be approved by contest necessary.
Casual/ Club/ Fashion Wear Round – 30% of score
Just like a catwalk, diva on a fashion runway, you will model your outfit for the judges and audience. Engage the audience with your personality and show off your sense of style with a simple but fun runway routine. The apparel you select should best represent your character, personality and compliment your body well. Work your magic! (But before you go on stage - relax, enjoy your presentation and remember to smile.) Contestants must provide a brief description of their casual/ club/ fashion outfit. This is an opportunity for contestants to get creative with their outfit and also mention the clothing sponsor or designer, if any. General public will vote online based on their personal favorites. 25 contestants will be selected by the panel of judges to move on to the Finals. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined based on the highest score for Beauty. In the even of a further tie, winner will be determined based on highest score for Suitability for Advertising and Publicity.
Finals: Round 3 – TBA 2012
All contestants who were selected on semi finals TBA, 2012 to move on to the final round will be judged on TBA, 2012 in front of a live audience in Toronto at a location to be later announced. Contestants will be required to model three changes; casual/ club/ fashion, evening and swim wear.
Casual/ Club/ Fashion Wear Round – 30% of score

Evening wear round – 30% of score This will be your first opportunity to reveal the sophisticate in you. You will model an evening wear of your choice. The grown, outfit or dress you select should best represent your character, personality, and compliment your body well contestants will be judged on overall appearance, poise, presence and confidence. Contestants must provide a brief description of their casual/ club/ fashion outfit. This is an opportunity for contestants to get creative with their outfit and also mention the clothing sponsor or designer, if any. No offensive costumes will be allowed (e.g. transparent clothing, etc.)

- Appearance – 30%
- Audience response – 10%
Swimwear Round – 30% of score Judges will analyze body shape, tone, complexion, poise, presentation and overall look. An elegant well toned body, healthy skin, and a winning smile is generally sought after. Facial beauty will be judged during this round as well. Contestants must wear a swimsuit and high heel shoes.

Internet Voting Poll – 10% of Score General public will vote online based on their personal favorites. 12 winners will be selected by the panel of judges to become the 5th Annual Toronto Dymes Calendar Girls and represent the beauty and cultural diversity of Toronto in the Inaugural edition of the Toronto Dymes Calendar. In the event of a tie, winner will be determined based on highest score for Suitability for advertising and publicity.
JUDGES… The official Judging Panel will consist of recognized and respected professionals from the talent, commercial, modeling, photography and sports agencies business. Also, noted cosmetologists, apparel designers, entertainment executives will serve. To help prevent judging bias and contestants influence, a complete list of judges will not be announced until the day of each judging. A contest judge may not be approached by a contestant or related individual with the intent to influence or harass. Action of this type can result in disqualification of the contestant at the discretion of the committee.
